In line with its mission to engage with international students, Sohar University invites applications from interested international students to study at Sohar University for one semester in the following fields:

• Engineering
• Business
• Computing and IT
• English and Translation
• Journalism and Communication

A small number of scholarships are available that will cover full tuition and full shared accommodation costs. Transport, food and other expenses will be the sole responsibility of the student.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Students with either Australian, UK, USA, Japan or South Korea nationalities
2. GPA of 3.0 or greater out of 4 point scale ( or equivalent)
3. Excellent command of English
4. Excellent cultural awareness and understanding
5. Between 19-25 years of age maximum
6. In good health (please provide medical report as proof)

Other Requirements:

1. Statement (300 words maximum) explaining their interest in the program
2. Most recent official transcript of grades
3. Email addresses of two recent academic referees
4. Agreement to obtain full health insurance
5. Colour Copy of Passport information page
6. Three recent passport size photos
